Trust & security

Built like a system of record, not a dashboard.

BAI holds the records your business runs on: loads, invoices, pay, papers. So it is built the way records should be kept. Kept apart, changed only with a person’s say-so, and written down every time.

How your records are kept

What BAI does with your records.

  • Your records are kept apart

Every customer’s records are isolated at the database level. The rule is enforced on every table that holds customer records, including for our own staff.

  • BAI asks before it acts

Anything consequential, like money or a message to someone outside your company, waits in Approvals until a person says yes.

  • Every change is recorded

An audit trail shows who changed what, and when. Nothing is quietly edited after the fact.

  • Documents are checked first

Uploaded documents are held in quarantine and scanned before anyone opens them.

Scanner activation is part of hosting setup

  • Sensitive fields are encrypted

Sensitive fields are encrypted with keys that belong to each customer, so one fleet’s keys never open another fleet’s records.

Production keys are provisioned at hosting setup

  • Unknown is never zero

When BAI does not know something, it says so. Missing data is never shown as zero, and never shown as “fine”.

  • Nothing deleted without a request

Records are kept on a written retention schedule, which is pending review by counsel. BAI deletes nothing without an authorised request.

  • Staff access is recorded

Our staff can see a customer’s records only through a support session, and every support session is recorded.

Honest limits

What we are not (yet).

A security page is only useful if it is clear about the gaps. These are ours today.

  • SOC 2: Planned.

    Status: Planned

BAI does not hold a SOC 2 certification today. It is planned, with no date promised.

  • Independent penetration test: Planned.

    Status: Planned

An outside firm has not tested BAI yet. This is planned before paid service begins.

  • Not an ELD.

    Status: Not offered

BAI is not an electronic logging device (ELD) and not a substitute for one. Keep your ELD.

  • No legal, tax or compliance advice.

    Status: Not offered

BAI prepares worksheets and tracks deadlines from your records. You or your preparer review and file.
